What happens if I have trouble with a product, installing it or if there are missing parts?
It is generally best to contact the manufacturer first, before contacting us.
Manufacturers provide written instructions manuals with the products that they produce.

These instructions contain a guide for proper installation, care as well as directions in case of problems with installation or missing parts. These manuals usually contain contact information in order to allow you or the installer to directly contact the manufacturer’s customer service department. These personnel are specifically trained and have experience allowing any issues that you may experience during installation or under warranty to be resolved effectively and efficiently.

Why should I purchase from an authorized showroom versus an online dealer?
When you purchase products from a manufacturer authorized showroom, the products that you purchase from are fully backed by the manufacturers warranty as well as our company and the local manufactures representative. Your decision to purchase your product from us will ensure that if there is ever a problem with your product, you can depend on all of us to help you resolve it effectively.
Internet dealers generally do not participate in this manner.
In fact, it is likely that the products that they advertise are partially flawed factory seconds, defective returns or discontinued. Often, if there is a problem, you may be on your own. The manufacturer does not generally warranty and internet dealers don’t have any local representative to assist you whatsoever.

Additionally, as an authorized showroom, we have invested in a brick and mortar business that provides you and/or your client the opportunity to actually see, feel, touch and possibly even try our displayed products. Also, our staff is continually educated on the features and benefits related to our product lines and can provide you with the means to select the proper products based on your requirements.

Your decision to do business with a local company helps drive our local economy; it keeps our doors open and provides an establishment for trade professionals to conduct business with their clients. Your support also provides a means for our showroom to continuously provide current up to date product displays and employ a staff of professionals at your service.
Is the gauge of a stainless steel sink important?
When purchasing a Stainless Steel sink, sound performance is always a concern.  The gauge of stainless steel in addition to sound proofing materials vendors use will aid in the sound performance.  The thicker the gauge of stainless the less noise you’ll experience.  Hint: The smaller the number of gauge the thicker the stainless.
Is fireclay a form of vitreous china?
Fireclay and vitreous china are not the same.  However, the differences are small.  Fireclay is a combination of vitreous china that has greater amounts of quartz and feldspar in the clay this allows the fireclay to be approximately 30% heavier than regular clay. These characteristics allow for a durable, smooth, flat surface on large fixtures not attainable with standard vitreous china.  Fireclay is also fired at a much higher temperature than vitreous china.
What is the difference between living and non-living finishes?
The difference between a living finish and a non-living finish is simple.  One will not change due to a lacquer coating over the finish and the other does not which will allow the finish to change over time.  Non-living finishes are typical in products where you the customer want a natural “old” finish to it.  Also, with non-living finishes with proper cleaning and care it should not change.
When choosing a door lock set, how do I know if I should choose a mortise lock or tubular and what is the difference in the two?
One of the first differences between tubular and mortise locks are the visual characteristics.  Tubular latches are just that, tubular in shape.  Tubular latches are the most common latches used on doors today.  When a tubular latch is used on a entry application it is used with a tubular deadbolt latch.  Mortise latches are box latches that have both the latch and deadbolt in the one unit.  Mortise lock was the traditional locking mechanism used before the invention of the tubular latch in the 1940’s.  Your decisions on using a mortise lock or tubular is dependant on how the door is prepped.  Mortise locks should be installed by a qualified trade professional.  Common problems with mortise locks are due to installation errors instead of product failure.   The same is true for tubular latches.
What makes a toilet flushing system so important, doesn’t the water carry the waste anyway?
The different flushing systems are important to the toilets because it assists the water carry the waste away.  There are gravity flushing systems and pressure assisted flushing systems.  Typically gravity flushing systems are more popular since it is what you have been used to using.  Gravity flushing systems use different siphon pressures to move the waste out of the bowl and down the p-trap.  The other flushing system is pressure assisted.  This is an complete mechanism inside of the tank that uses pressure much like shaken up soda pop to move waste away.  The benefit to the gravity flushing systems is that replacement parts are readily available where as the pressure assisted toilets require a professional plumber for technical issues.
